Accessibility Arrangements in BIG Centers and BIG FASHION Malls

All BIG centers across Israel include comprehensive accessibility arrangements, including:

Access Routes and Parking
• Accessible parking spaces, including spaces suitable for high-roof vehicles.
• A continuous accessible route from the parking areas through the entrances to all stores, including elevators.
• In centers with paid parking, vehicles displaying a disability-parking permit are entitled to up to 4 hours of free parking.

Pathways and Signage
• A continuous and compliant accessible route from the entrance to all service areas.
• Clear and accessible directional signage for accessible parking, emergency exits, protected areas, restrooms, entrances, and exits.

Accessible Restrooms and Elevators
• Accessible restrooms and A2-type accessible restrooms, in accordance with Regulation 8.141.
• Elevators equipped with audible floor announcements, tactile guiding strips, and tactile warning indicators (Regulation 8.78).
• Stairwells include continuous handrails and tactile warning indicators at the top and bottom of every staircase.

Assistive Devices and Services
• Induction hearing loop systems in each center manager’s office and at the company’s headquarters.
• Accessible and adapted public seating throughout the centers.
• Entry of service animals assisting persons with disabilities is permitted.

Accessible Customer Service

Accessible Telephone Service Center
• A central telephone service center adapted for customers with hearing or speech disabilities.
• Clear voice messages with no background music.
• Additional accessible contact options via email and the online contact form.

Employee Training
BIG conducts ongoing and structured training for employees and center managers, in accordance with Regulation 88, to promote awareness and practical tools for delivering accessible customer service.

Compliance with Standards
This website complies with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Accessibility Adjustments for Services), 2013.
