BIG Ashkelon
Location and surroundings
BIG Ashkelon is located at the northern entrance to the city of Ashkelon, near the train station and Hillel Silver Interchange. Access to BIG Ashkelon is from Menachem Begin Avenue near Route 4, which connects Ashkelon to southern cities like Ashdod, Kiryat Gat and Kiryat Malachi, and kibbutzim, such as Yad Mordechai. Thus BIG Ashkelon has a high level of accessibility.
Structure and development
At BIG Ashkelon, emphasis will be placed on convenience and functionality in order to provide customers with an enjoyable shopping experience, while easily finding their way to each of the center's stores. In addition to the large stores and two office buildings, cafes and restaurants will be provided, serving visitors and office employees. Visitors will enjoy free parking of the highest standard, giving direct access to the stores.
Design and land use allocation
BIG Ashkelon is carefully planned on a 60,000 square meter lot. The design of the shopping center integrates extensive retail areas covering 20,000 square meters, and two office buildings totaling 10,000 square meters, together sharing 1,050 parking spaces that face the retail storefronts, in addition to operational parking spaces.
The shopping center consists of two main buildings on three sides of the main parking area, divided into large stores alongside smaller stores, with care taken to make the storefronts as easily visible as possible. The backs of the structures will feature convenient unloading facilities for suppliers, as well as technical galleries for air conditioning systems and other tenant requirements. The office buildings are located at the two corners of the commercial buildings, at the entrance to the center.
